New South American record of the Cretaceous–Paleogene boundary interval (La Colonia Formation, Patagonia, Argentina)

VERIFY:period_start_mya: stored=72 suggested=71.7 confidence=medium — The stored 72 Ma start derives from Novas (2009), but Clyde et al. (2021) report that U–Pb ages of detrital zircons from the directly underlying Puntudo Chico Formation indicate the base of the La Colonia Formation is younger than ~71.7 Ma, so the Carnotaurus-bearing beds cannot be older than that. This also keeps the range wholly within the Maastrichtian, consistent with the stored stage.
