VERIFY:geological_stage: stored=early jurassic suggested=late triassic to early jurassic confidence=medium — The type description places Sefapanosaurus zastronensis in the "Upper Triassic-Lower Jurassic Elliot Formation of South Africa" rather than restricting it to the Early Jurassic. Later biostratigraphic work notes the material's stratigraphic position is indeterminate and its preservation is potentially consistent with the lower (Late Triassic) Elliot Formation.

VERIFY:period_start_mya: stored=200 suggested=210 confidence=low — Because the Sefapanosaurus material cannot be tied to a horizon and may derive from the lower Elliot Formation (Norian-Rhaetian), the older bound of the age range should extend back into the Late Triassic rather than starting at 200 Ma. The younger bound of 190 Ma (upper Elliot, Hettangian-Sinemurian) remains supported.
